Practice

Eric Boehm's practice focuses on technology law. Eric focuses on bringing significant value for his clients in their long-term outsourcing, technology and offshoring arrangements, and e-commerce and privacy matters. Eric has extensive Canadian and international experience advising on complex information technology and intellectual property transactions, including joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and other strategic relationships. Eric is currently Chair of the Ontario Bar Association IT & E-Commerce Section.

Eric is a registered trademark agent in Canada. He is fluent in French.

a Canadian telecommunications company in its seven-year contract for information technology services and support, pursuant to which the vendor will support transformation by linking its data centre to that of the company and upgrade the company’s data centre facilities and storage capabilities
Scotiabank in its acquisition of Royal Bank of Scotland's wholesale banking operations in Colombia, particularly in relation to complex technology transition arrangements
The Bank of Nova Scotia in the agreement with The Western Union Company for the offering of money-transfer services to Scotiabank customers in Canada
a major Canadian chartered bank on various offshore outsourcing arrangements for information systems, application support and maintenance, and call centre operations
a Canadian chartered bank in the implementation of chip and PIN contactless technology
advising a major Canadian retailer on a pilot chip and PIN project with multiple competing vendors
TD Bank in the acquisition of private label credit card portfolios, and the provision of private label credit card and loyalty programs to retailers
a major Toronto-based business outsourcing company in a five-year credit card processing arrangement with a significant global retainer
a Canadian outsourcing services provider in its three-year call centre arrangment with Americatel
a Canadian outsourcing services provider in its long term payment processing and call centre services agreement with a major consumer goods manufacturer
a Canadian outsourcing services provider in its five-year credit card processing arrangement with a significant global retainer
Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in its 2007 outsourcing agreement with IBM Canada for IBM to assume responsibility for the management, operation, support and maintenance of CPPIB's technology infrastructure
Hudson's Bay Company in its agreements for business intelligence software from SAS Institute
CanWest Interactive in the relaunch of the canada.com portal site
Rogers Cable in transactions involving high-speed Internet and digital cable services
Rogers Business Solutions for the provision of network services to Canada's largest school board
NM Rothschild and the Rothschild Group of Companies in domain name disputes and new e-commerce initiatives
