• NextWave Telecom in its telecommunications bankruptcy case
• Broadway Trading, LLC in its pre-negotiated Chapter 11 broker-dealer sale
• CCC Network Systems Group in the Chapter 7 and international liquidations of its computer networking operations
• Cafe Nacional LLC in the preliminary stages of the restaurant’s bankruptcy

Alison has represented lenders in secured and distressed financings, including

• PB Capital in its senior secured financings, including its restructurings of Renaissance Plastics and Souper Salad
• PNC Business Credit in its senior secured asset-based acquisition financings, including Regal Kitchens and the bankruptcy case of Troll Communications
• Toronto Dominion Mezzanine Partners in its secured mezzanine financing of Aurafin 

Alison has advised numerous creditors and equity holders in bankruptcy filings, including

• Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in their investments in U.S private equity funds
• Moneris Solutions in litigation involving a debtor credit card processor.
• New Flyer as a licensee of intellectual property in the chapter 11 case of ISE Corp.
• the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of C2 Media and the C2 Media Liquidating Trust
• Primedia, including in the chapter 11 cases of Musicland Holding and Tower Records
• Yellow Book in the McLeod USA bankruptcy case
    

Alison also has expertise working with lenders, debtors and acquirors of assets in matters involving cross-border enterprises, including

• the leveraged buy-out of Madill Equipment by Sentinel Capital Partners, a U.S. private equity fund
• the acquisition of gas turbines from an Enron affiliate by Energie NB Power
• the ancillary proceedings of GT Group Telecom
• the ancillary proceedings of Irwin Toy, a leading Canadian toy company
• the Chapter 7 liquidation of Quartet, the U.S. subsidiary of a Canadian telecommunications company
• the international liquidation of CCC Network Systems Group, a computer networking operations provider
• Brookfield Asset Management, Brookfield US Corporation, and Twin Rivers Paper Company in the chapter 15 proceedings of Fraser Papers and its subsidiaries as debtor-in-possesion lender, acquiror and CCAA plan sponsor

From 1996 to 1998, Alison was an assistant adjunct professor for a New York University School of Law advanced bankruptcy seminar. While attending New York University School of Law, Alison was a member of the Moot Court Casebook Division.
