In 2009, Torys partners, Mark Bain, Dan Ford and Tara Mackay, represented Infrastructure Ontario and Niagara Health System as the public authorities in the $759 million AFP transaction to design, build, finance and maintain a new acute care hospital and cancer centre in St. Catharines, Ontario.
The project won the following awards:
- 2009 Award of Merit for Project Financing from the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships
- 2009 North American Social Infrastructure Deal of the Year from Euromoney’s Project Finance
