Torys represents various sports entertainment and sports clients in traditional corporate/commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, and in entertainment law transactions such as negotiation of rights agreements, licensing agreements, distribution agreements, co-production agreements and production financings agreements. We have also represented various clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings, including proceedings for composers, creators and other recording artists.
We also represented the National Hockey League and a number of member teams in salary and equalization arbitrations held throughout North America, and in trademark litigation in Canada.
