Our clients benefit from our understanding of the requirements of corporate governance regulation, legislation and best practices. We advise clients on the implementation of particular compliance programs and on an ongoing basis. We also assist public companies in their compliance with applicable regulatory reporting, and disclosure requirements and restrictions. Our lawyers regularly serve as special counsel to boards of directors and their committees where independent counsel is necessary. We also assist clients with internal investigations, conducted to ensure continuing compliance with applicable laws and in response to government investigations and proceedings.
We are very active in dealing with the increasing profile of corporate governance issues in North America, particularly in light of the constantly changing rules and practices of corporate governance. Several members of the firm lecture on corporate governance and have made numerous presentations on the subject to industry and other associations.
