TORONTO, September 2002—Torys LLP is pleased to announce that it will donate $100,000 to the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Common Law section.
The donation, which will be made over the next five years, will be matched by the Ontario Research Network for E-Commerce (ORNEC). The total amount will be used to support research and study in the area of technology and e-commerce law. Specifically, the donation will fund the Technology Law collection in the Brian Dickson Law Library at the University of Ottawa, an annual Torys Scholarship in E-Commerce, and a bi-weekly Torys Technology Law Speakers series.

The Torys Technology Law Speakers Series will be launched on Tuesday, September 17 with a lecture by Sheila Block and Andrew Shaughnessy from Torys on "What's Hot in IP Litigation Today and What Lies Ahead."
