TORONTO, January 25, 2005—Peter R. Wilcox, an experienced intellectual property litigator, has joined Torys LLP as a partner in the Litigation Department.
Peter’s practice covers all areas of intellectual property law with a particular focus on pharmaceutical and biotech litigation. He joins Torys from Ogilvy Renault.
Peter has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada and Ontario courts at trial and appellate levels, as well as before the Canadian Trade-marks Opposition Board. He also has jury trial experience in U.S. district courts.
Peter serves as Chair of the Litigation Committee of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. He is a registered patent agent and trademark agent in Canada.
Peter obtained his B.A.Sc. in chemical engineering in 1988 from the University of Toronto and his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1992.
