Torys is pleased to congratulate two of our clients for receiving awards from Canadian Dealmakers.
The awards, presented yesterday evening, recognized Canada's top M&A deals of 2009. Among them were the following:
- the Energy Industry Award, which went to Suncor Energy Inc. for its merger with Petro-Canada to create North America's fifth-largest energy company by market value; Torys represented Petro-Canada
- the Global Expansion Award, which went to Viterra Inc. for its purchase of Australia-based ABB Grain Ltd.; Torys represented Viterra

- established best practices
- enhanced customer needs and products
- created value
