Torys is pleased to announce that Cornell Wright is one of six recipients of the 2011 Precedent Setter Awards.
The Precedent Setter Awards recognize lawyers in their first 10 years of practice who "do things differently from the rest, taking chances out of the gate to become leaders in their practice areas and their communities."
Cornell has been a key player in some of Torys' clients' most significant transactions, including The Thomson Corporation's US$18.2 billion acquisition of Reuters Group to create Thomson Reuters Markets and Thomson Reuters. His community involvement earned him the 2009 Ann Wilson and Rob Prichard Award for Community and Professional Service from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
